The Organization of American States (OAS) comprises 35 sovereign states, and 60 permanent observers.

The 37th OAS general assembly was held at ATLAPA International Convention Center in Panama City during June 3-5, 2007. 

Secretary-general of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon attended the assembly.
